Dominikanerkirche

07. – 08.2016

The colossal church wall opposite the
alter will take centre stage in the exhibition. The installation, which features a thousand faces (photographs 35 x 25 cm in size), will be displayed on the imposing 10 x 11 m wall surface, while medium-sized and large photos will be additionally displayed in the church walkways for the first time. As a place of peace and an emblem of harmonious coexistence in society, the Dominican Church is the perfect space for this photography project.

St. Kamillus Columbarium

04.2016

In April 2016, the exhibition HEIMAT. GERMANY – YOUR FACES made a stop in Mönchengaldbach. Unlike previous exhibitions, where art was exhibited in a classic exhibition room, here all 1,000 images were presented in their entirety for the first time in a church space. With this exhibition, the sacred space opens its doors to modern art for the very first time.

Berlin – Germany
Willy-Brandt-Haus

10.02. – 25.02.2015

The exhibition in Willy-Brandt-Haus in Berlin displays a portion of the entire planned exhibit with large images. The accompanying catalogue received the German Design Award 2015. For “Iris Berben, Hans-Dietrich Genscher”, the 1,000th portrait was not the end. On the contrary – it was the beginning of a long journey.

08.2015

In August 2015, HEIMAT. GERMANY – YOUR FACES made a stop at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin, coinciding with the conference of ambassadors. It was there that Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier received his portrait.

The artistic photography project was also displayed for the Day of German Unity.
